Leadership at Ace Computers

John Samborski, Chief Executive Officer

John Samborski, P.E. is a recognized expert in the Information Technology community, with an extensive history of innovation and thought leadership in the System Integrator space. Since founding Ace Computers in 1983, he has aggressively pursued the development of custom and affordable products and services in concert with well-known industry leaders.

Under John´s leadership, Ace´s system integration business strategy has been essential to its rapid growth and expansion. Ace has remained one of the country´s largest System, Storage, and Server System Builders according to both VARBusiness and CRN Magazine.

Mr. Samborski was a founding member of the Intel Premier Board of Advisors in 2002 and was awarded a life-time position with this prestigious organization. He has held additional advisory board seats with leading technology companies including AMD, Seagate, BenQ, Western Digital, NEC Display, Targus, and Logitech. Mr. Samborski was also awarded the Gartner Award for New Business, Customer Care, and Vision.

John is an avid reader and shares a passion for political science. You can typically find him at any industry trade show throughout the year. John holds a bachelors degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Marianne Kennefick, President & Chief Operating Officer

Marianne Kennefick has spent the last 20+ years of business management experience running ACE´s day-to-day operations dedicated to bringing down the cost of computing. Her extensive history of operational innovation and thought leadership has solidified ACE´s position as one of the leading System Integrators in the Information Technology space. Since joining ACE in 1985 she has helped organizations meet their challenges through the efficient and cost-effective use of technology while ensuring ACE maintains operational excellence.

Ms. Kennefick has served numerous positions with ACE including Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer. Her impressive leadership has resulted in ACE being named by CRN Magazine as one of the largest System, Storage, and Server builders in the country. ACE´s consistent growth has resulted in being recognized as one of Crain´s Most Influential Woman Owned Businesses in the United States. Ms. Kennefick is a current member of the North American Women-Business Owners Organization (NAWBO) and a popular speaker for small to medium size entrepreneurial companies in computer technology. Ms. Kennefick holds a MBA degree from Roosevelt University and a BA Degree from the University of Northern Illinois.

Kathy Lacina, Vice President, Sales

Kathy Lacina brings over 18 years of sales management experience to Ace. Prior to joining the Ace Executive Management Team in 2009, Ms. Lacina held Director of Sales positions at both Technology Integration Group (TIG) and MPC (Micron) with a focus on Federal Sales. Kathy also spent seven years with GTSI in sales management positions.

Ms. Lacina is originally from the Chicago area and attended Western Illinois University. She enjoys travel and splits her time between Chicago and Boise, ID where she continues to maintain a residence.
